Who we are and what we do

The Alba Fund is an initiative that was set up in October 2022 to help fill the bowls of hungry pets in the local community 🐾

We know that amidst this crippling cost of living crisis, the harsh reality is that more and more people are having to chose between feeding themselves and their children, or feeding their beloved pet, because they simply cannot afford to do both- or they are faced with having to share their human food bank parcel with their animal. We are working tirelessly to keep pets at the heart of families where they belong, and in turn reduce the already over-stretched population of rescues by preventing pets from being surrendered when a lack of food, not love, is the biggest hurdle.

We are based in Dorset and provide help throughout the whole of the county, as well as on the Dorset-Hampshire and Dorset-Wiltshire borders.
